3000 Acres aims to unlock vacant land to grow food and build strong communities. I have been involved with 3000 Acres since it's early stages in Melbourne in mid 2013.
This has included a mixture of voluntary/pro bono time doing graphic design, site design for the first 3000 Acres prototype urban agricultural garden in Melbourne, event organising, photography and assisting with monitoring and evaluation and other work. My involvement with 3000 Acres has also included some paid graphic design work developing branding, promotional materials and templates.
Check out this great video (below) by Ezra Larmour-Reid about the 3000 Acres project, featuring CEO Hannah Schwartz and mention of the Secret Cinema event by the Urban Fabric Collective at the first 3000 Acres community garden site in April 2014. It also features my photography from the Sustainable Living Festival event I helped organise earlier in 2014.
