Jenny Humberstone is an inter-disciplinary designer based in Scotland.  Jenny engages in a range of design, landscape and photography work. In particular her work relates to place, community and participatory approaches to design.

As an interdisciplinary Designer I have been excited to work on a variety of projects in recent months, from urban design and temporary creative events activating unusual city spaces, to digital, web and graphic design, photography and illustration.

Particular highlights have included my work with HERE+NOW where I am Curatorial Director, including exhibitions, installations and film screenings about our Connection to Place at Tent Gallery, The Biscuit Factory and as part of Hidden Door Festival 2015. I also recently explored the visual and auditory aspects relating to how we define and create a sense of place as part of an artist residency with The Bothy Project in January 2015.

Other recent work has included organising a series of temporary outdoor cinema events and exhibitions in vacant urban spaces to showcase local film-makers short films and artists work (Urban Fabric), event organising and working on graphic, digital and landscape design for urban agriculture project 3000 Acres in Melbourne, founding and progressing the Hold Me Dear photography project online gallery and physical exhibitions as a celebration of place, and a series of design and photography commissions including logo design for a micro-brewery, branding and style guide production for an urban design firm, and web design for a number of small creative businesses.
